The aim of the project is to build up an autonomous mobile robot in competing groups (of about 6 students): an RC Unimog to perform tasks in the field of autonomous driving. For this purpose, the individual sub-areas, such as the control, the sensor system or the navigation, will be handled by two participants each.
Procedure:
In the first weeks, each participant must first solve a series of small experiments and tasks that introduce the topic in a practical way. Subsequently, scientific investigations regarding autonomous mobile robots have to be carried out and integrated into the specification and solution development for the realization of a robot. A time schedule and milestones should be defined. At the end of the project, developments and results are to be presented in a presentation and a written summary. The project presentations and the final contest will take place at the end of the lecture period.
To participate in the Bachelor project please send an e-mail to meckel(at)informatik.uni-kl.de or aashok(at)cs.uni-kl.de with the following information:
First name, last name, course of study, e-mail address and whether a certificate is required.
Physical attendance is mandatory for the kick-off and the project work.
If you attend the meeting in-person, please make sure you generate a QR code for personal data as described on the website:
